The book titled A Textbook of Traditional Medicine has been divided into 36 chapters and is based on the syllabus issued by National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Mohali for the M.S. Traditional Medicine course. Data on traditional medicine is scattered and has been availed from various authoritative AYUSH books and reputed journals. The idea of bringing out an edited book on Traditional Medicine was born when I joined as external faculty in The Department of Natural Products of National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Mohali.
